Vybz-Kartel continues to demonstrate versatility and relevance from behind prison walls, with a steady stream of hits.

Despite his imprisonment, the dancehall legend continues to release hits. Vybz and Aiko Pon Di Beat believe that his new releases, “Money” (and “Badman Ting”) will continue to be popular.

In “Money”, Kartel exhorts youth in Jamaica to keep their eyes on the prize and to not lose sight of their goals. He encourages hard work to achieve what one wants in life. He also aims to educate listeners about the differences between credit and debit.

He chants in one verse, “Everyday suh Mi vision fi stay suh Billionaire status Mi not wan’ Pesos,”
Lifestyle is rich and famous. Some people die without a name, while others die anonymously.”

The lyric video was uploaded to YouTube June 3, and has been viewed over 250,000 times. Fans left comments below the video and it seems that it was well received.

“This is why I admire Vybz.Kartel because he always has a song that motivates you doesn’t really matter what it is,” one fan commented. Another added, “Wow another hit song!” This song is a statement of fact! Vybz is multitalented! Soon to be a trending topic! This song should have a music video.

Vybz Kartel’s classic track, the other track salutes West and East Kingston communities as well as Papine & Spanish Town. This track has 400,000 views and serves as a gritty salute for more disenfranchised people.

Both tracks are catching on, as many still love the Worl Boss style.
