Skillibeng clearly ignores the critics and continues to use the formula that has worked for him.

E-Syde’s 2021 year was his biggest, but Skillibeng can’t seem to shake off negative comments about his music.

As he has done for over half his career, the “Crocodile Teeth” deejay finds himself still trying to avoid being called wacky by those who criticize his music.

Many of his followers and fans are not happy with the latest tune by the deejay, “Whap Whap,” and many filled the comments section with jokes and emojis to show their disapproval.

One person stated, “This is a f*ckery level cah legal,” while another suggested, “Uh, want some new fren brog cuz dis?” Ano it! !…..still a support, tho.”

Another comment received a reply from the “Mr. Universe” deejay. It was Shawn Ice, a rising Dancehall/ Reggae star who advised fans to stop hype-up Skillibeng’s unappetizing music.

He commented, “Uno stop playing hypocrite TELL the MAN STR888 up this F***ERY THIS SHMH,” “Mi rate u g, but a bay F*ckery Ya Drop lately!” !”

Skillibeng mocked the comment by saying “whap whap” and shared it with up to 23 people.

In the preview, the term “whap-whap” is used as background vocals and lyrics. There are not many words other than the hailing of communities like Grants Pen, Whitehall and Portland.

The 25-year-old St. Thomas-born DJ isn’t the only one who has been criticized for making music some call “trash”.

Many social media users criticized the artist for his “nursery rhymes” and accused him of having “slow flow” after the songs were released.

Many social media users believe that the deejay intentionally produced his music due to the preeminence of his platform.

Skillibeng, despite the negative feedback from critics in the last few years has managed to keep himself and his music above all doubters. He continues to make progress in the international music scene.
