Sean Paul, a multi-award-winning Dancehall artist and Jamaican music icon, has revealed the complete schedule for his Scorcha tour. It is scheduled to begin on April 22.

Due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to the entertainment industry around the world, Sean Paul has not been on the stage in almost two years. He is excited to return to the stage, now that the space has slowly returned to normalcy.

His frustration at not being able connect with his fans via live performance has led him to express his dismay in a recent release by his camp, which previews the upcoming tour dates.

The release stated that Paul was “returning to the podium after two years of touring because of the pandemic,” and that he is excited to connect with his fans in person.

His US tour will follow his United Kingdom tour which he announced in late 2013. It is expected that it will begin on April 11, just a few weeks prior to his performances in the US. He will be performing for the first time in the UK since his headline performance at the Glastonbury Festival in 2019. After much anticipation, Scorcha’s album Scorcha will be released in the middle of the performances.

The album was originally scheduled to be released in May of last year. However, due to unexpected difficulties regarding clearing rights for the stars that were to appear on the album, it was moved to early 2022.

“With Scorcha’s release and the music video, which was very well received, I wanted the album to be out. Sometimes I speak because it is important that it gets there, but I had no choice but to wait and I have to apologize to everyone who was watching out.” Sean Paul stated in an interview last year following the delay.

Collaborations include American rapper Nicky Jam, Stylo G (dancehall), Tove Lo (singer/songwriter from Sweden), and Junior Gong (jazz singer). Gwen Stefani and Shenseea are expected to be featured in Light My Fire, a major hit song that many predict will become a huge success.
