Sick1, another rising dancehall artist out of Mobay, was shot and killed.

Sick1, was allegedly shot to death by St. James police early Tuesday morning. Law enforcement has not released the identity or exact circumstances of the victim’s death, but only that he died on the spot.

In March 2021 Sick1 released his first official song with Kabookie. The track, titled “Rapid It up”, was quickly followed by “Active,” where Kabookie also featured. In September last year, the entertainer dropped “Right De Suh”, and “Active” was followed by his biggest single, “Third Eye” a month later.

Fans flocked to Instagram and Youtube to convey “RIP” comments.

Now Sick1 joins an increasing number of musicians who have been murdered in recent months. Unknown gunmen shot Montego Bay’s deejay Kapella Don, on January 20, 2022 in Montpelier. Fada Gad, also from St. James parish, was also shot several times last year by gunmen.
