Stray bullet or warning? Versi say he isn’t taking any chances. He posted photos of a bullet hole inside his car on Thursday. He wanted to know if he was being targeted, or if he just happened to be parking his car in the wrong spot at the wrong moment.
Versi, who is Sheldon Taylor in real life, posted images to Instagram showing the bullet holes in his vehicle’s back windshield.
“Was it a stray bullet or a shot at me?” He wrote that “man anointed, protected” in the caption. He is currently living in the United States as the “Wanted” entertainer, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. According to reports, the entertainer decided to live closer to his children who are citizens of the United States.
For many years, the 34-year-old singjay was a quiet storm in this industry. Beenie Man, I Octane and many other big names in the industry have had the producer/deejay at the core of their careers. His recent war of words with Popcaan was a major news story. Many believed it went too far when he included Miss Rhona, Popcaan’s mother’s name in a diss song. Because of the potential for a juicy mix-up, the songs quickly went viral. They reached the number 20 spot on YouTube in 48 hours.
Versi claimed that he was integral to the Unruly’s initial success, citing his lyrics on “Unruly Anthem” 2017. Versi quickly dismissed himself as “bad brained and envious.”
The two have been back-and-forth trading barbs and bad mouthing one another ever since. This escalated to an entirely new level when Popcaan posted on Instagram instructing Versi: “Bwoy, guh s**kout yuh moma.”
Fans have been expressing concern over the photos posted in “Mind Games”, based on the bad blood. Many were glad that he was not injured and shared the Isaiah 54 Bible verse, “no weapon against me shall prosper” to remind him that this could have been his ongoing beefs with Popcaan. One fan said, “Keep safe.” You Americans bruh, no one tries to attack you all this time and as you diss Popcaan, this happened.” Another fan commented, “Nobody cyaa say me sh*t!” Popcaan was the one who created it!”
Versi’s career began in 2010 with the release of “Bank Inna Mi Pocket”. He has also written songs for Beenie Man, I-Octane and Bounty Killer.
